No new avalanches were reported yesterday.
Snowpack
The snow accumulation due to yesterday's stormy weather is settling and bonding well. New snowfall since yesterday evening is expected to be on top of this accumulation by about 20-30 cm. Strong westerly winds are expected at higher elevations.
Weather
As of 4:00 pm, 6 cm of snow had fallen in the past 12 hours in the area around Amedas Fujiwara, and snow is still falling. The Japan Meteorological Agency is forecasting cloudy skies and snow later in the evening in the foothills of northern Gunma Prefecture due to the influence of a low pressure system and a frontal system.
