The forecast is for clear skies and warmer temperatures during the day. Avalanche danger levels will vary widely from "low" to "high" throughout the day depending on temperature, solar radiation and rainfall. We recommend that you take action before the crust loosens up. When the snowball begins to roll on steep slopes, it is a sign that the snowpack is losing strength. Watch out for loose snow avalanches. Be careful on large steep slopes as the size of the generated avalanche increases. Also be aware of the possibility of a block avalanche from a cliff-like area or a glide avalanche from an open glide crack. Avoid under such areas. Or move quickly. This is the end of the avalanche bulletin for this area today. Thanks to everyone who provided information.
Beware of large steep slopes
Watch out for block collapses from cliff-like areas and open glide cracks.
No new avalanches observed yesterday.
The surface to middle layers of the old snow are gradually gaining strength through the cycle of melting during the day and freezing at night. On top of this is the snowfall from the stormy weather up to the 18th, which is progressively settling and melting. Because of the rain at lower elevations, water is expected to percolate to the ground interface in areas where the snowpack is thin and glide cracks are open.
As of 4:00, there has been no precipitation in the past 24 hours at Ameda Fujiwara. Temperature 0.7℃. The Japan Meteorological Agency is forecasting clear skies and cloudy skies from midday, with temperatures rising to 18°C at the foot of the mountains, due to high pressure, but subject to the influence of a pressure trough and moist air.
