A stepping back mind set is appropriate today. Poor visibility makes it more difficult to asses where in the terrain you are. Even experienced backcountry riders get killed venturing too close to a new formed cornice. Great powder skiing can be found in the trees on slopes less than 34 degrees steepness. Extra caution when exposed to terrain traps such as gullies, creeks and trees. Avoid being exposed to steep slopes above you as others parties may also be a risk to you.
