We have received no new reports of activity across the region and we expect last week's storm slab to have settled. Isolated pockets of wind slab remain in the alpine and may be reactive to single person loads. Settled weather in the early part of the week should promote backcountry travel however safe travel practise should continue to be employed.
Isolated pockets of wind slab remain in the north of the region on upper elevations lee to the north west winds.
No new activity has been reported across the region
A trace amount of new snow has fallen overnight. A thin breakable crust exists on solar aspects and overlies 10cm of new snow we received on the 23rd in the north of the region. The upper snowpack contains multiple melt crusts from the previous few days. At upper elevations north aspects have been stripped and are firm with isolated pockets of wind slab found on lee slopes.
We can expect light westerly winds with broken sunshine through out the day. Winds will increase to moderate in the afternoon.
