Be wary of all-layer avalanches or wet snow point occurrence avalanches. These avalanches of snow are so heavy that they can easily be scooped under their feet and can cause slippage or serious trauma. Do not relax your vigilance against avalanches caused by wet snow not only in mountainous areas but also on forest roads close to the foot. In the past, there have been cases where block avalanches have occurred at the top of the swamp terrain that crosses forest roads, resulting in accidents. Avalanche terrain awareness and group management are the most effective means to reduce avalanche accidents and mitigate damage. This is the kind that can only be acquired by habituation in daily repetition. Today we will end the avalanche information for this season. Thank you very much for using it.

Yesterday (March 27), a wet snow point avalanche was observed on a steep slope heavily exposed to solar radiation.
Yesterday, due to a significant rise in temperature and strong solar radiation, the snow surface layer was sufficiently wet, mainly on the south face, and an avalanche was generated by losing its strength. On the north side of a very high altitude area, there were some remnants of fresh snow that had fallen, but due to the high temperature, it became damp. High temperatures have continued since yesterday, and snow melting is progressing rapidly at low altitudes.
The Japan Meteorological Agency predicts southern winds, somewhat strong, clouded, overnight, temporary, rain, high temperature 20℃ (13m altitude) to the Joetsu region in Niigata Prefecture. It is 6℃ (as of 5:00) at Myoko Sasagamine (altitude 1310m).
