Travel and Terrain Advice

It is a situation where there is little snow cover and the probability of avalanches is low, but attention needs to be paid to falls and slipfalls. Pay attention to the possibility of wet snowpoint or full-layer avalanches due to future rainfall effects. It is also expected that it will change to snow afterwards. Terrain traps such as rocks, deep ravines, and cliffs that increase damage when an avalanche occurs are exposed. The risk of avalanches increases due to weather changes. Be aware of changes in your own situation and take action.

概要

Avalanche

No reports of new avalanches

Snowpack

The snow cover from the past stormy weather is about 5-60 cm on top of the thawed layer. This snow cover is estimated to be settling under the influence of the temperature rise. Snow cover surfaces of slopes at high altitudes that are less susceptible to solar radiation have been slightly recrystallized. Crusts form on the steep slopes to the south. The total snow cover around Murodo is about 80 cm, and there are many places where rocks and vegetation are exposed.

Weather

The current temperature of 5:40 in Murodo is 3.7 degrees Celsius. The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued a forecast that the cold front sprung from the northeast is expected to pass through the Hokuriku region, so there will be cloudy morning rain at the foot of the mountain and lightning from afternoon to evening.
