Also, attention should be paid to triggering storm slabs from places with thin snowfall such as rocky ridges that are easy to hit by the wind. The weak layer of this storm slab is deeply buried, so it is likely that it will increase in scale when induced. Pay attention to the possibility of avalanches from steep slopes overhead, even if you yourself are in a loose slope. Please also pay attention to “terrain traps” such as rocks, deep ravines, and cliffs that can increase damage when an avalanche occurs.

Yesterday (28th), there was a report of multiple human-induced and spontaneous surface avalanches of size 1 observed on a steep eastward slope at an altitude of 2400m.
Snowpack
There has been no new snowfall since yesterday, but snow movement due to wind has been observed near the ridgeline. Snowfall due to stormy weather from 22nd to 27th is over 200 cm above the old snow and sintering is progressing. The interface between this snow cover and the crust formed by rainfall is deeply buried, and strong temperature gradients and recrystallization have been observed there, and attention should be paid to the degradation of coupling. It is also important to note the combination of recrystallized former snow in high altitude zones unaffected by rainfall and stormy snow cover up to 27 days.
Weather
The current temperature at 6:45 in Murodo is -5.5 degrees Celsius. The Japan Meteorological Agency reports that it will be sunny and sometimes cloudy at the foot of the mountain because it will be covered by high atmospheric pressure but will be affected by atmospheric pressure valleys in the sky.
