Avalanche
Yesterday (29th), there were multiple reports that surface avalanches of up to size 2 were spontaneously occurring centered on the eastward slopes of the Alpine area.
Snowpack
The snow accumulation brought about by the stormy weather from the 25th is steadily settling. Wind slabs were formed on the leeward slopes, which were gradually moving in the direction of stabilization. There, in the Alpine area, under the influence of weak winds, new snowfall began from the early afternoon of yesterday and later in the evening below the forest limit, and snow cover of 10-30 cm was placed there. As of 6:00 on the 30th, 12h snowfall at 750m in Hakuba village is 13cm.
Weather
