Travel and Terrain Advice

Note the joining of the storm slabs that remain on the extreme steep slopes of high elevation areas. Beware of provocation in places where the slope changes sharply or on extreme steep slopes with sparse trees. It is also necessary to be careful about stepping on the cornice and collapsing. It is a forecast to clear up during the day. Also be aware of the possibility of wet and snow-point avalanches from large, southerly steep slopes that are susceptible to solar radiation.

概要

Avalanche

There are no reports of observing a new avalanche yesterday, but there are few people entering the mountain and the information is limited.

Snowpack

Sedimentation is progressing gradually due to the old snow that has advanced settling and the snowfall of about 10-20 cm on the crust of a steep slope closer to the south.

Weather

As of 4:00, the temperature is -7.0℃ at AMeDAS Fujiwara. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency's announcement at 17:00 on the 24th, it will be covered by high pressure, but due to the influence of atmospheric pressure valleys and moist air, it is forecast to be sunny and cloudy from before noon in Gunma prefecture.
