Travel and Terrain Advice

It is generally a safe avalanche condition. Currently, for Alpine, there are clouds hanging and very weak snowfall, so think about the dangers it causes during the day. The temperature is forecast to rise more than yesterday. Do not go into slopes with glide cracks that are already open. It's not getting a big plus temperature, so there's no snowfall for a few days, but there are still many places where you can enjoy dry powder. Even if the snow cover is on a steady trend, please do smart group management while observing the terrain well.

概要

Avalanche

Yesterday (25th), multiple Glide avalanche, size 1, point generated dry snow surface avalanches, and size 1 have been observed in the below treeline.

Snowpack

No significant vulnerability has been observed at elevations below the forest limit. It has been observed that on slopes without the influence of wind and solar radiation, there are also sunny skies of the past few days, heat escapes with radiation, and snow on the snow surface is recrystallizing. At the moment, there is no problem, but if there is a cohesive snowfall after this, it will be a factor that you should pay close attention to.

Weather

The Meteorological Agency forecasts northern Nagano prefecture for northern wind, cloudy weather, occasional sunny weather, snow or rain, and a maximum temperature of 5℃ (elevation 418m). At the foot of Mt. Hakuba (elevation 703m), the temperature is -3.0 ℃ (as of 5:00), and there is no new snowfall in the past 4 days.
