Travel and Terrain Advice

It is generally a safe avalanche condition. Currently, for Alpine, there are clouds hanging and very weak snowfall, so think about the dangers it causes during the day. The temperature is forecast to rise more than yesterday. Do not go into slopes with glide cracks that are already open. Also, when rainfall starts, the risk of Glide avalanche increases, so consider that as well. Even if the snow cover is on a steady trend, please do smart group management while observing the terrain well.

概要

Avalanche

No the new avalanche were observed yesterday (25th).

Snowpack

No significant vulnerability has been observed below the forest limit. Snow in stormy weather proceeds to settling, and on slopes affected by elevation and solar radiation at low altitudes, the snow surface is formed with melting and freezing crusts. In addition, recrystallization of the snow surface due to radiation has been observed from beginning to end on shaded slopes. There is no problem now, but in the future, when there is a lot of snowfall, it can be an element to be aware of enough.

Weather

The Meteorological Agency predicts the southern wind, rear, and west winds somewhat strong, cloudy, rain or snow from the evening, and a maximum temperature of 8 degrees (elevation 13 m) for the Joetsu region of Niigata prefecture. At Myoko Sasagamine (elevation 1310m), the temperature is -5℃ (as of 5:00), and there is no new snowfall in the past 48 hours.
