Travel and Terrain Advice

Note the presence of new storm slabs in areas of high elevation with increased snowfall. Beware of provocation in places where the slope changes sharply. Be careful of “terrain traps” such as deep slopes, cliffs, rocks, standing trees, etc., that increase damage even if the size of the avalanche that occurs is small. It is a forecast for the winter type of atmospheric pressure arrangement. Pay attention to changes in weather, such as an increase in snowfall or the effects of wind in the future.

概要

Avalanche

There are no reports of observing a new avalanche yesterday

Snowpack

The snow cover is settling and the coupling is rising. Yesterday, on a steep south-facing slope with a low elevation, crusts were formed due to the influence of solar radiation, and new snowfall from midnight is expected to be placed about 10-20 cm above it

Weather

As of 6:00, the temperature is -0.4℃ at AMeDAS Fujiwara. There has been a 2cm snowfall in the past 12 hours. Snowfall continues around the area. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency's announcement at 5:00 on the 27th, it is forecast that there will be places where it will be mostly cloudy and snowy in the northern part of Gunma prefecture because it will be a winter-type atmospheric pressure arrangement.
