Travel and Terrain Advice

Pay attention to the presence of wind slabs in areas of high elevation. Be careful of triggering on steep slopes just below ridge lines and supporting ridges. Be careful of “terrain traps” such as deep slopes, cliffs, rocks, standing trees, etc., that increase damage even if the size of the avalanche that occurs is small. It is a forecast that the pressure arrangement of the winter type will continue. Pay attention to changes in weather, such as an increase in snowfall or the effects of wind in the future.

Avalanche

There were no reports observed yesterday because there were no visitors

Snowpack

Sedimentation proceeds and bonds are rising in the middle layer of snow cover. On a steep south-facing slope with a low elevation, crusts are formed due to the effects of solar radiation on the 26th, and new snowfall affected by strong winds is expected to be placed on it

Weather

As of 4:00, the temperature is -3.4℃ at AMeDAS Fujiwara. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency's announcement at 17:00 on the 27th, it is forecast that it will be cloudy and sunny in the northern part of Gunma prefecture due to the continued winter-type atmospheric pressure arrangement centered on northern Japan and affected by moist air.
