Travel and Terrain Advice

Avalanche conditions may be high on certain terrain. When uncertainty is high, make a conservative route setting and look for direct evidence such as the new avalanche marks or shooting cracks while climbing. Currently, the instability is near the surface of the snow cover, so it is possible to use safe small terrain and check the condition with skis or ski cuts. See how westerly winds are redepositing snow. Please check if there are any “topographic traps” on the slopes you want to slide on first, and continue the behavioral management in principle.

Snowpack

Observation information in the field is lacking and uncertainty is high, but in the adjacent Hakuba Mountains, snow with weak binding force from the early dawn of the 26th is buried in the snow cover surface layer, and as of yesterday (27th), it stimulates people It is responding sensitively. Even in the Myoko Mountains, where the elevation is high from the upper part of the below treeline, it is necessary to think that there is a similar trend, and act and investigate the condition.
