This is the beginning of a new Storm Slab cycle. Strong winds from west to northwest are blowing in Alpine. Be vigilant of slabs that come down to lower elevations and form while the wind is affected by the terrain.
Weather
The Japan Meteorological Agency predicts northern Nagano prefecture's northern wind, cloudy, occasional sunny weather, and a maximum temperature of 2℃ (elevation 418m). At the foot of Mt. Hakuba (elevation 703m), there was a snowfall of about 15 cm in the past 12 hours with a temperature of -3.1℃ (as of 5:00 p.m.). In addition, it has been snowing about 25 cm in the past 12 hours at an altitude of 1,000 m.
