Travel and Terrain Advice

At low elevations, do not approach slopes that have already entered glide cracks, do not enter. In the future, when rainfall starts, it will be in a very dangerous state. Also, when you pass below it, don't forget the principle behavior of moving quickly, with a moderately spaced interval. The weather is clearly in the direction of deterioration, so please make an early descent plan that takes that into account.

概要

Avalanche

There are no observational reports of new avalanches yesterday (14th).

Snowpack

There are days when there is no consolidated snowfall, and the entire snow cover is in a stable direction. However, due to the lack of sufficient observational data, there is a slight uncertainty. However, due to the situation in the adjacent Hakuba Mountains, it is strongly suspected that snow formation with weak coupling force due to radiation will occur on slopes that are not affected by solar radiation. If snow is gathered here, it will be extremely dangerous.

Weather

The Japan Meteorological Agency predicts winds in the south, rear, and west winds somewhat strong, cloudy, afternoon to evening, rain or snow, and a maximum temperature of 9 degrees (elevation 13 m) for the Joetsu region of Niigata prefecture. At Myoko Kanzan (altitude 350 m), the temperature is 0.9℃ (as of 5:00), and there is no new snowfall in the past 12 hours.
