This is a very dangerous avalanche condition. Even if you are in a below treeline, you need to be vigilant enough for outbreaks and runways in the forest. If an avalanche occurs in a place where there are trees, even if the scale is small, the tree becomes a hazard, and it has a serious ending. Also, since there is a high possibility that an extremely large avalanche will occur, it is necessary to think that a large-scale avalanche will flow from the far upper part even if you are near the foot of the river terrain. Even if you are an experienced person, you need to maximize your safety margin using the terrain. If you skate inside the ski resort, please observe the skidable area. It's not only for your safety, but also for the safety of other visitors. If you enjoy fresh snow on the slopes, I think it's a good day to relax in the hot springs.
Yesterday (20th), an avalanche of size 1.5 storm slabs was observed on the eastern slope in the below treeline. Also, a large number of shooting cracks were observed on slopes affected by wind. There is no information on high elevations due to stormy weather.
As mentioned in the avalanche information yesterday, the below treeline was in an unstable state with dense snow resting on top of low-density snow. There is a snowfall accompanied by wind. Snowfall is increasing on the north side of Hakuba Valley, and northwestern storms are continuously blowing in the Alpine.
The Japan Meteorological Agency is forecasting northern Nagano prefecture's northern wind, snow, occasional, cloudy, and maximum temperature of 0℃ (elevation 418m). At the foot of Mt. Hakuba (elevation 703m), the temperature is -7.2℃ (as of 5:00), and there was snowfall of 15 cm in the past 12 hours. At Otari AMeDAS, there is a snowfall of 30 cm in 12 hours.
