Yesterday (27th) morning, there was a very strong snowfall of about 5 cm of time snowfall, and it became a snowfall of 20-30 cm in the below treeline. The intensity of fresh snow at the beginning of falling was low, and avalanches of soft slabs occurred by human stimulation around noon. The sliding surface is a thawing frozen crust where the effects of solar radiation and temperature rise are strong, and dry old snow on the north side. The wind began to appear yesterday afternoon, and we need to act while thinking about the effects today.
Weather
The Japan Meteorological Agency is forecasting northern Nagano prefecture's northern wind, sunny weather, and a maximum temperature of 10℃ (elevation 418m). At the foot of Mt. Hakuba (elevation 703m), the temperature is -4.4℃ (as of 5:00), 11 cm snowfall in the past 24 hours, and there is no new snowfall in the past 12 hours.
