Travel and Terrain Advice
If you raise the elevation, be careful of windslabs that are suspected of forming on the easterly slopes. If slab formation is visible, avoid steep slopes or terrain with convex or isolated shapes. Even if the slab that starts moving is small, if there are trees in the outbreak zone or in the runway, it will function as a “terrain trap” that will cause fatal trauma. Also, be sure to pay attention to changes in the snow during the day, as the temperature is forecast to rise. Wet snow is heavy, so you can easily scoop up your feet. Also, do not approach slopes with glide cracks. Have a good day with behavioral management using safety zones.

概要
Avalanche
Since the visibility was poor yesterday (2nd), and there were very few people entering the mountain, there was no avalanche observation information.
Snowpack
At high elevations, there was some snowfall until last morning, and wind slabs are formed by very strong westerly winds. The instability of this windslab has not been reported in the Myoko Mountains because the observation information is extremely limited, but the adjacent Hakuba Mountains responded to human stimuli. On the other hand, in places with low elevations, the strength of the snow cover layer has been lost due to the effects of rising temperatures and rainfall. Even if it is stable in the morning, it is necessary to think well about the effects of daytime warming and solar radiation.
Weather
The Japan Meteorological Agency is forecasting westerly winds, slightly stronger, and foggy, and a maximum temperature of 10°C (elevation 13 m) for the Joetsu region of Niigata prefecture. At Myoko Kanzan (altitude 350 m), the temperature is 0.4℃ (as of 5:00), and there is no new snowfall in the past 24 hours.
