概要
Avalanche
A point occurrence avalanche of wet snow has been observed in the below treeline yesterday (11th).
Snowpack
The temperature rose significantly yesterday, and the snow surface was sufficiently wet on the slopes affected by temperature and solar radiation. The temperature was positive even near the forest limit, so the snow on the north side, which had been dry until now, has also changed to be moist. On the other hand, very strong westerly winds have been blowing at high altitudes since last night. If you raise the altitude to the Alpine, please be wary of wind slabs formed locally in the downwind terrain.
Weather
The Japan Meteorological Agency predicts westerly winds, later, south winds, sunny, morning and evening, cloudy, and a high temperature of 13 degrees Celsius (elevation 13 m) for the Joetsu region of Niigata prefecture. The temperature is 3℃ (as of 5:00) at Myoko Sasagamine (elevation 1,310m).
