Avalanche
A point-occurring avalanche of wet snow of size 1-1.5 was observed yesterday (12th). Glide avalanche have also been observed.
Snowpack
Yesterday, the surface layer of the snow cover became wet due to the influence of solar radiation at elevated temperatures, and point generation avalanches were generated due to a decrease in strength. At low altitudes, the temperature is positive throughout the night, and glide cracks are also expanding. Furthermore, since the temperature rise above yesterday is forecast today, the potential for Glide avalanche has risen.
Weather
The Japan Meteorological Agency predicts late at night, rain, and a high temperature of 20 degrees Celsius (elevation 13 m) for the Joetsu region of Niigata prefecture due to southern winds, cloudiness, and places. The temperature is 3℃ (as of 5:00) at Myoko Sasagamine (elevation 1,310m).
