Even in the forest, if there is a “slope”, it will occur, so if it is washed away, the tree will increase its damage. Rainfall is increasing the risk of all-layer avalanches on slopes with glide cracks. Try to avoid slopes with glide cracks. Today I recommend a spring shaba-yuki glide on the slopes.

Yesterday (13th) it was observed that an Glide avalanche of size 2 occurred in extreme terrain.
Snowpack
On the steep slope facing the south, it is sufficiently wet to the deep position of the snow cover surface layer, and the strength decreases. Here, rainfall from the early dawn has been added to the mountain area on the west side. Positive temperatures have continued since yesterday at the foot of the mountain. Also, strong westerly winds are blowing near the main ridge line, but the temperature is positive, which has a strong impact on the state of snow cover. In the future, even if it changes to snowfall at high elevations, please consider that the fresh snow immediately after that is in an unstable state.
Weather
The Japan Meteorological Agency predicts southern wind, daytime, north wind, rain, cloudy from the morning, and a high temperature of 11 degrees Celsius (elevation 13 m) for the Joetsu region of Niigata prefecture. The temperature is 5℃ (as of 5:00) at Myoko Sasagamine (elevation 1,310m).
