Travel and Terrain Advice

At low altitudes, be aware of the possibility of full-layer avalanches from open cracks and steep slopes. It is recommended not to enter the lower part of such places or to the bottom of the river, or to pass quickly. At high elevations, the snow surface is frozen, and new snowfall is expected to be thinly placed. Be careful of slipping.

Snowpack

A crust is formed on the surface of the snow cover in all directions, and snowfall that began at midnight is expected to be thinly placed on it. It's raining below an altitude of about 900m. The cold in the past was weak in the low elevation zone. A large number of clyde cracks have been observed on the steep slopes towards the south.

Weather

The temperature at AMeDAS Fujiwara as of 4:00 is 0.8 degrees Celsius. It's raining in the vicinity. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency's announcement at 17:00 on the 17th, the low pressure accompanied by the front advances to the vicinity of the Kii Peninsula at night, so it is forecast that it will sometimes be cloudy until afternoon due to rain or snow.
