Travel and Terrain Advice

In high elevation zones, keep in mind the presence of localized storm slabs that remain on extreme steep slopes. At low elevations, be aware of the possibility of full-layer avalanches from open cracks and extreme steep slopes. It is recommended not to enter the lower part of such places or to the bottom of the river, or to pass quickly. It is forecast that there will be snowfall during the day. Act with caution against the binding of new snowfalls and the effects of winds.

概要

Avalanche

There are no reports of an avalanche observed yesterday.

Snowpack

In places with high altitudes, the stormy snowfall until the other day is 10-15 cm, but the coupling is good. There are also places where crusts are exposed due to the influence of wind blown away in ridge-like places. At an altitude of 1300m or less, it thawed and frozen due to temperature rise in all directions. The cold was weak and rainy in the low elevation zone. A large number of clyde cracks have been observed on the steep slopes towards the south.

Weather

The temperature at AMeDAS Fujiwara as of 4:00 is 0.5 degrees Celsius. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency's announcement at 17:00 on the 21st, it will be cloudy due to the effects of low pressure, moist air, and cold, and the northern part of Gunma prefecture is forecast to snow or rain from morning to afternoon.
