Yesterday (25th), a point occurrence avalanche of wet snow of size 1 has been reported.
Snowpack
Due to yesterday's (25th) temperature rise and solar radiation, the snow cover surface layer became sufficiently wet to the vicinity of the forest limit. Warm winds from the southwest are coming in, and positive temperatures continue to the vicinity of the main ridge line even at night. As a result, snow melting is progressing rapidly in places where elevations are low.
Weather
The Japan Meteorological Agency predicts a slightly stronger south wind for the northern part of Nagano prefecture, late afternoon, temporary rain, and a high temperature of 17 degrees Celsius (elevation 418 m). At the foot of Mt. Hakuba (elevation 703m), the temperature is 3.4℃ (as of 5:00). Yesterday (25th) recorded a high of 15℃ at 15:00, and positive temperatures continue throughout the night.
