Snowpack
Due to the temperature rise yesterday (30th) and the strong solar radiation, the snow cover surface layer became sufficiently wet. Even near the main ridge line, the temperature has been positive until this morning, and all elevation zones are in a thaw-freeze cycle. The Nagano Regional Meteorological Observatory is forecasting 15 mm of precipitation in the northern part of Nagano prefecture by tomorrow morning, and there is a possibility that it will snow tomorrow at high altitudes.
Weather
The Japan Meteorological Agency predicts late at night, snow, and a high temperature of 13℃ (elevation 418m) for the northern part of Nagano prefecture depending on the northern wind, cloudy, afternoon, temporary, rain, and places. At the foot of Mt. Hakuba (elevation 703m), the temperature is 2.8℃ (as of 5:00). Also, yesterday (30th), a high temperature of 16.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at the foot of the mountain at 13:00.
