Keep in mind the storm slab on an extremely steep slope at higher elevations. There are numerous exposed "terrain traps" such as rocks and gullies where even small avalanches can cause extensive damage. Be careful of collisions with rocks thinly concealed by snowfall.

No new avalanches were observed yesterday, but visibility was poor.
Snowpack
The snowfall up to the morning of the 24th settled well, bonded well with the old snow, and did not react to human stress. We don't observe areas of poor binding within the old snow. There are many exposed rocks and vegetation except at the bottom of the stream.
Weather
As of 5:00, the temperature at Murodo is -9.2°C and mildly clear. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the forecast is for clear skies at the foot of the mountain and cloudy mornings and evenings due to cold and moist air, although high pressure is expected to prevail.
