Travel and Terrain Advice
Be aware of new wind slab bonding on extremely steep slopes at higher elevations. High temperatures and rainfall are expected in Muroto. Please be aware of the possibility of loose snow avalanches caused by the upcoming rainfall. There are many exposed "terrain traps" such as rocks and gullies where even small avalanches can cause extensive damage. Be careful of collisions with rocks thinly concealed by snowfall. Also, be careful of hypothermia caused by wet bodies from rain or wet snow.

Avalanche
No new avalanches were reported yesterday (28th).
Snowpack
Wind is expected to be strong at higher elevations, and new wind slabs are expected to form on the ridge and just below the branch ridges. Due to the recent rainfall, the temperature gradient has been eliminated, although a layer of faceting has been observed inside the old snow at elevations below approximately 2500m.
Weather
As of 6:00, the temperature in Murodo is 4.7℃. The Japan Meteorological Agency forecasts that it will be cloudy at the foot of the mountain and rainy from late afternoon due to the expected influence of a low pressure system and a frontal system.
