Generally safe avalanche conditions. Even on low avalanche danger days, when entering avalanche terrain, try to do some form of group management to reduce the time and number of people exposed to danger. Repeatedly doing so will make good behavior a habit and reduce the number of accidents that may occur on other days.
Extreme shaped terrain and cross loading should be noted.
Yesterday (27th), a size 1.5-2 slab avalanche was observed in extreme shaped terrain.
The snowpack brought in by a series of stormy weather events is settling steadily. The stormy weather was accompanied by strong winds, and wind slabs have formed on wind-affected terrain up to lower elevations. On the southern slopes, suncrusts have formed due to yesterday's sunshine.
