信頼度:○ good □ Fair △ Low
Note the presence of storm slabs at higher elevations where snowfall increases and on open, steep slopes with few trees. There are exposed "terrain traps" such as deep gullies, cliffs, rocks, and standing timber that can increase damage even if the size of the avalanche that occurs is small. At lower elevations, exposed bushes make running difficult. Be careful not to fall into the gully. Be aware of large avalanche slopes that exist above you even at lower elevations. The weather service is forecasting more snowfall. Please be aware of the increased snowfall and changes in wind effects.
Beware of open steep slopes with few trees.
No new avalanches reported yesterday (3rd), but no observations in the alpine area.
In areas where snowfall is heavy, more than 100 cm of snowfall from this stormy weather is on top of crusts on the southerly slopes and on top of less dense snowfall on the northerly slopes. Attention should be paid to bonding on the interfaces and inside the snowfall.
As of 4:00 pm, 17 cm of snow had fallen in the past 24 hours at AMeDAS Fujiwara and continues to fall. The Japan Meteorological Agency is forecasting cloudy skies and snow at night in the foothills of northern Gunma Prefecture due to the continuing winter pressure pattern and the influence of a pressure trough and cold air.
