Travel and Terrain Advice

Note the instability of storm snow that remains in certain terrains. If you see drifting snow, consider that a wind slab is currently forming. Elevated temperatures are forecast for today. At lower elevations, watch for slopes with glide cracks already in place. The principle courses of action, such as stopping in a safe position and moving quickly out of the danger zone, are the same whether it is a surface avalanche or a glide avalanche. There are many "terrain traps" hidden in the forest. Look for safe routes. Have a good day.
