Keep in mind the bonding of wind slabs that remain on the extreme steep slopes just below the higher elevation ridges and branch ridges. Sunny skies and warmer temperatures are in the forecast. When snowballs begin to roll on steep slopes in the sun, it is a sign that the snowpack is losing strength. Be aware of the possibility of a loose snow avalanche. Be aware of large, steep south-facing slopes where the size of the generated avalanche will increase. Also be aware of the possibility of a block avalanche from a cliff-like area or a glide avalanche from an open glide crack. Avoid under such areas. Or move quickly.

Yesterday, a human-triggered slab avalanche size 1 on an extremely steep east-facing slope near 1700 m elevation, and a report of a size 1 loose snow avalanche on a south-facing slope near 1500 m during the day, were observed.
Snowfall up to early yesterday morning was about 50 cm in many places. During the day, settling progressed gradually and bonding increased. The steep southerly slopes melted-Freeze due to solar radiation and froze at night.
As of 4:00 p.m., snowfall over the past 24 hours at Amedas Fujiwara has been 1 cm. The Japan Meteorological Agency is forecasting clear skies and occasional cloudiness from mid-afternoon due to a high-pressure system, but subject to the effects of a trough and moist air.
