Very dangerous avalanche conditions. Massive snowfall makes action difficult. Beware of bonding storm slabs on steep slopes. Be aware of avalanches from avalanche start zones overhead, even if you yourself are in a low-slope area with many anchors, such as a tree line. There are exposed "terrain traps" such as deep streams, cliffs, rocks, and standing timber that can increase damage even if the size of the avalanche that occurs is small. Be careful of falling into gully. Snowfall with strong winds is forecast to continue. Watch for further increases in danger.
Even if you are on a gentle slope below treeline yourself, watch out for avalanches from large avalanche start zones overhead.
No observation report due to no one entering the mountain yesterday (15th).
At higher elevations where snow accumulation will be higher, new snowfall with strong west to northwest winds is expected to be 100 cm or more. Attention should be paid to bonding inside this stormy snow accumulation.
As of 3:00 pm, about 37 cm of snow had fallen in the past 24 hours in the area around Amedas Fujiwara, and snowfall is still continuing with strong winds. The Japan Meteorological Agency is forecasting a strong winter pressure pattern, so it will be cloudy in the evening with snow at the foot of the mountains in northern Gunma Prefecture.
