Travel and Terrain Advice

Sunny skies are forecast during the day. Be aware of the possibility of loose snow avalanches from large southerly steep slopes that are susceptible to solar radiation. Be aware of wind slab bonding on extremely steep slopes just below ridgelines and ridges at higher elevations where snowpack bonding is less likely to progress. There are exposed "terrain traps" such as deep streams, cliffs, rocks, and standing timber that can increase damage even if the size of the avalanche that occurs is small. Be careful of falling into gully and stepping through snow cover.
