We are in a strong storm cycle for the next few days and visibility will be poor in the alpine and is advised to know the terrain above you and its hazards. Manage terrain below tree line with caution especially the steep sheltered slopes around the creek terrain traps. Cold management will be important especially in more windy environments where the wind can add to the chill factor. Some say "be bold and start cold" I say "don't be silly and start chilly" Warm layers and proper gear will be essential in these conditions. Talk to your riding partner about layering systems and what extra gear, hot beverages and food they like to stay warm. Take care and enjoy the fresh snow.
