Below Treeline Good
信頼度:○ good □ Fair △ Low
Good snow can be found in some parts of the region and in general very little slab development has been observed however there is an easy sliding surface present below the new snow and the storm slab may awaken when temps rise on Sunday. As always, avoid travel below cornices particularly when temperatures rise.
The storm slab may awaken Sunday when the sun comes out and temps rise. Beware of reverse loading on Monday as the southerly flow picks up strength.
No new avalanches reprorted
5-30cms of storm snow fell across the region Thursday evening (more in the North, less in the South) landing on a melt freeze crust that exists on all aspects up to 1000m. The crust is thicker, harder and exists higher on solar aspects. The lower pack is well settled.
Temps will remain cool on Saturday with a mix of sun, cloud, light southerly winds and no precip. Sunday will be mostly clear with valley temps rising to a high of 8 degrees. Monday is expected to be mostly cloudy with moderate to strong South winds through the day bringing in heavy rain which is expected Monday night.
