Beware of loose snow avalanches caused by snowfall that is not progressively bonding. Avoid large steep slopes that tend to increase in size to engulf the surrounding snow. Be mindful of group management, such as making sure other skiers are not above or below you. Storm slabs formed during past stormy weather may be localized on extremely steep slopes. Be aware of the possibility of triggering from areas where slopes change abruptly or where there are few trees. The low snowpack exposes "terrain traps" such as deep streams, cliffs, rocks, and standing timber that can increase damage even if the avalanche size generated is small. Care should also be taken to avoid falling into gully.
Beware of large steep slopes

No new avalanches reported yesterday (29th)
On the steep southerly slopes, crusts have formed due to yesterday's solar radiation, and the snowfall from last night is on top of these crusts, requiring attention to bonding. There is a relatively low-density layer in the middle part of the snowpack, and care should be taken to prevent bonding from deteriorating as a result of the load applied by increased snowfall in the future.
As of 4:00, the temperature at Amedas Fujiwara is 0.1°C. 10 cm of snow has fallen in the past 12 hours, and snowfall is still continuing in the surrounding areas. The Japan Meteorological Agency is forecasting cloudy skies in northern Gunma Prefecture with snow or rain until dawn as a low pressure system moves from the southern coast of eastern Japan to the east of the country, gradually becoming a high pressure system in the west and low pressure system in the east.
