Watch for avalanches of wet snow that has lost strength due to high temperatures. Today, the sun is not as strong as it was yesterday, but high temperatures are forecast, which will cause snow to lose strength. Snow is so heavy that even very small avalanches can cause injury. Please consider whether there are any hazardous elements above you. Also, stay away from slopes with glide cracks and do not stay under them. The weather is expected to worsen and rain is predicted. Today could be a fun day to ski on the groomed courses.
Note the instability that remains in localized areas of extreme terrain.
Beware of high temperatures
Beware of slopes with glide cracks.
Numerous size 1-2 loose snow avalanches and snowballs were observed yesterday (24th). Size 2 glide avalanches were also observed at lower elevations.
Yesterday, the stormy snow was rapidly settling under the influence of high temperatures and strong solar radiation. At lower elevations, water is floating on the snow surface and it is full stop snow. High temperatures continued throughout the night with positive temperatures below treeline.
