Note the presence of wind slabs formed on steep slopes just below ridgelines and branch ridges. Even if the avalanche is small in size, there are exposed "terrain traps" such as deep streams, cliffs, rocks, and standing timber that can increase the damage. Be careful about falling into gully. Since yesterday's stormy weather was rain at lower elevations, watch for loose snow avalanches from large steep slopes and glide avalanches from areas with glide cracks or cliff-like slopes. Do not enter the lower part of such areas or pass through them quickly.
稜線や支尾根直下に形成された結合の進んでいないウインドスラブに注意
Watch out for open glide cracks and cliff-like slopes.
Yesterday (27th), the avalanche occurrence status is unknown as there were no observed reports.
Yesterday's snowfall was about 20 cm near 1300 m, but strong northerly winds until this morning are expected to have formed wind slabs. Crusts were observed bordering the past stormy snowfall, and the upper part of the crust was faceting and bonding was weak, but bonding is expected to be progressing. There are no reports of significant fragility observed in the middle to lower layers of the snowpack.
As of 5:00, the temperature at AMeDAS Fujiwara was 1.2°C. The Japan Meteorological Agency is forecasting generally clear skies due to high pressure.
