Travel and Terrain Advice

1. In higher elevations, watch for newly formed wind slabs on lee aspects. When you notice cracking between your skis, this may be a sign to back off and find lower elevation, sheltered terrain to ski. 2. With the sun forecasted to come out in the afternoon, monitor surface snow for rapid warming possibly creating new avalanche instabilities. Search out more shaded, sheltered terrain.

Some new snow continued to fall last night onto previously loaded slopes keeping storm slabs a problem to monitor. If it becomes sunny in the afternoon, these storm slabs may become more reactive.
