Alpine Good
Treeline Good
Below Treeline Good
信頼度:○ good □ Fair △ Low
Glide cracks continue to open and grow across all aspects on lower elevations. Avoid grouping below these openings as timing of failure is hard to predict. Elsewhere the surface conditions are variable ranging from firm in the alpine to sun and temperature affected at lower elevations. Be wary of river and creek crossing as snow bridges may be getting thin during this warming period.
Isolated pockets of firm wind slab can be found in the alpine below ridgeline. These slabs may need larger loads to be triggered.
Wet loose activity may occur in steep terrain as temperatures rise above freezing and we receive solar input at lower elevations.
No new activity has been reported across the region.
A continued period of warmer temperatures has settled the snowpack and created a crust on all aspects below 600m. Glide cracks have opened on multiple aspects and are growing at present. The alpine remains firm and wind stripped on westerly aspects with firm wind deposited slabs on the east which are treading to unreactive.
Up to 5cm of new snow has fallen overnight, we can expect another day of warmer temperatures and light northerly winds with periods of broken sunshine.
