Note the presence of unbonded storm slabs. Be careful of triggering on steep slopes or where there is a sudden change in slope. Also note the presence of wind slabs that are forming on steep slopes just below the ridge due to snow movement caused by strong winds last night. This is just after a massive snowfall. Even if you are on a gentle slope, be aware of the presence of a large avalanche start zone overhead. When regrouping after skiing, be sure to leave the avalanche terrain and regroup in the safest place possible, such as on a ridge top. Be aware of other groups above and below you.

Snowpack
Low density snow accumulation was observed on the surface of the snowpack on the 30th, and then the snowfall that intensified in the evening with strong northwesterly winds buried more than 50 cm below the surface, so caution should be exercised in bonding the boundary surface. Wind slabs are expected to form due to strong westerly winds near the ridge last night.
Weather
As of 6:00 am, the temperature at Amedas Fujiwara is -2.4°C. There has been 6 cm of snowfall in the past 24 hours, with 20 cm near 1400 m elevation. The Japan Meteorological Agency is forecasting cloudy skies in northern Gunma Prefecture with some snow showers at dawn, as the area will be covered by high pressure, but will be affected by a pressure trough and cold air.
