Travel and Terrain Advice

At higher elevations, watch out for wind slabs that form in terrain pockets. Underneath the slab is a hard snow surface, so even a small avalanche can cause a slip and fall hazard. A hard, rough snow surface is hidden under the new snow. It is easy to fall down, so please ski carefully. When passing under glide cracks, please move quickly and keep a good distance from your companions. Even if the likelihood of occurrence is low, hitting a snow block can have serious consequences.
