It's a good time for winter, so you can still enjoy good lines in the backcountry with sufficiently dry snow. New snowfall is forecast for the second half of the week, so during the current mild weather conditions, it's a good idea to stretch out to a new place for you. Good lines can still be found in the backcountry as we experience a relatively dry period of the Winter. Further snowfall is expected during the week however now is a good time to explore new terrain under calm weather conditions.

The northerly winds have subsided, and mild weather is forecast to continue until the middle of the week. When the wind direction changes to the west, it is a sign that a new snowfall will begin, and it will change for this weekend. Continued settled weather with the occasional snow flurry and low Northerly winds are expected through the midweek. These conditions are expected to change towards the weekend as a shift in wind direction to the West will bring new snowfall and higher precip totals.
