Alpine Good Beware of induced persistent slab near the ridge line.

Be aware of newly forming induced wind slabs on steep slopes just below the ridge and branch ridges. In addition, human-triggered avalanches continued to occur until the 23rd. Be aware that this instability is localized, hard to find, and persistent. Beware of triggering from extremely steep slopes with thin snowpack. The slab and bed surface are hard, which allows the fracture line to spread significantly and increase the size of the avalanche. We recommend adhering to the action principle of reducing the time spent in avalanche start zones, tracks, and runout zones. There are many exposed "terrain traps" such as rocks and gullies that can increase the damage of even small avalanches. Be careful of collisions with rocks thinly concealed by snow.

Yesterday (26th), there was a report of a human-triggered slab avalanche size 1 observed on a steep downwind slope.
Around Murodo, there was 30-60 cm of snowfall due to stormy weather up to the 25th, and it is gradually settling and bonding. On the steep southerly slopes, crusts have formed due to the influence of solar radiation. The old snow settled and bonded well, but there was still some local instability, which existed as persistent slabs and triggered avalanches from areas where the snowpack was thin. Care should be taken as new snowfall loads are being applied here.
The temperature at 2380m as of 6:00 am is -1.5°C. No new snowfall. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the area will be moderately covered by high pressure, but is expected to be affected by a pressure trough and moist air, so the forecast is cloudy at the foot of the mountain, sunny from midday to early evening, and rainy in some places until early afternoon.
